Why A Pillar To Post Inspection?
Since 1997 we have performed over 20,000 home inspections and hundreds on light commercial properties. We promise to you our full attention in the inspection and give you a facts-based analysis of the home you are considering. We want to help you with buying or selling your home and are available as an ongoing during your home ownership!
What is included in a Pillar To Post Inspection?
The inspection time is approximately 2-3 hours depending on the house. The inspection focuses on the major components and systems of the house, the expensive stuff! Your inspector accesses all areas; roofs, attic spaces; evaluates the foundation structure and any crawlspaces, he inspects the electrical, plumbing and heating/cooling systems. He inspects kitchens, bathrooms and all living spaces. Your inspector will inspect for termites too. Some specialized systems and components may not be inspected such as pools, sprinklers, entertainment sound systems. Radon and mold testing is also available for an additional fee. Check with your inspector about these items.
We strongly encourage you to attend the inspection!
Our inspectors will include you in the process. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the home you are buying or selling. During the inspection, our inspectors will point out and discuss both the positive aspects of the property as well as areas of concern, and provide you with a detailed, unbiased report of our findings. We are there to answer all your questions so you are confident of the home you are buying or selling.

Getting to Know Your Inspector
Owner, Eric Sweeney has spent much of his life in the real estate industry. Growing up in central Nebraska, on a family farm, Eric was involved in managing the 3,000 acre business, properties, and land on his family’s estate. Eric’s role model and father always considered himself not a farmer, but a real estate man. Eric has continued this tradition. Eric graduated from the University of Nebraska with a business degree; he acquired great networking experiences through college football and other leadership roles. After graduation, he moved to Philadelphia, married his college sweetheart, Tracy, and now has a son, Noah. As a real estate investor and developer, Eric built an extensive rental portfolio and started an international real estate fund that controls and manages over 100 units across the Northeast. As a realtor in Philadelphia, Eric sold an average of ten million dollars a year and was ranked in the top 10 for sales in the Mid-Atlantic division. Understanding the importance of having a great Certified Home Inspector in every transaction, and with his experience in development and construction, he decided to focus his attention on inspection to help buyers and sellers make an informed, educated decision on the sale or purchase of their home. Eric and his family have since moved back to Tracy’s (his wife’s) home state of Rhode Island to raise their family and enjoy the Ocean State. Eric is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, and the Greater Providence Board of Realtors.
